The Super Bowl is around the corner, bringing with it the most creative, witty, celeb-studded brand campaigns and ads (oh and that thing called football…). Here are our top three commercials from 2022:
Uber Eats
Launching its new offering that goes beyond food, Uber Eats filled its ad with celebs galore, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Coolidge and Trevor Noah. It’s both hilarious and disgusting as we watch them chow down on non-food items, including Gwyneth Paltrow sinking her teeth into her famous “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle.
Amazon’s Alexa
Featuring real-life celebrity couple Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost, the ad imagines what it would be like if Alexa could read our minds and reveal the couple’s unfiltered thoughts. Kind of creepy. While the mind-reading isn’t real, it nods to Alexa’s new feature which allows Amazon to predict needs around the home, such as turning lights off.
Squarespace
Squarespace went all out with a tale narrated by Andre 3000 and starring Zendaya. We love the simplicity of this, playing on ‘she sells seashells by the sea shore’. In the ad, we see Zandaya’s character Sally building her business through Squarespace.
